I am en route to St. Louis bright and early this morning. I was feeling confident about throwing the pitch tonight (6:50 at Busch Stadium!) until I saw video of myself throwing on wwhl last night. Oy. My sister's friend Suzie set up some time for me with a high school baseball coach this afternoon, so that should put me on the right track. Whatever happens, I will show it next Thursday night when Jerry Seinfeld is on the show so he can make fun of me, along with you at home. It'll be GREAT.
The Cardinals organization has been so great to deal with, and I have pretty much my entire family coming to the game as well as some friends from Bravo and Isaac Mizrahi, who happens to be in town directing an Opera! Whaaa? Here's my ticket for tonight's game:
Man did I have fun at the fried chicken party with Sarah Jessica Parker last night! The only thing wrong with having her on the show is that it goes so damn fast. She is such a sparkly, fun guest (and friend) and we taped a great after show that will get posted later today. SJP's been watching the NY Housewives a lot this season and took some stands last night about the ladies.
I didn't find last night's Housewives episode as fun as I actually find the island of St. John. That girls trip wasn't one I would've liked to been a part of. Next week Jill arrives and it is pretty shocking what happens. As SJP said last night, even the greatest minds cannot write this.
Yesterday Simon Doonan and Barneys threw a gorgeous lunch for Supermodel Iman, celebrating her Fashion Icon Award from the CFDA. The stunning new "The Fashion Show" host was surrounded by fresh flowers and fancy daywear, and a crowd of swells that included David Bowie, Christiane Amanpour, Desiree Rogers, Kyle MacLachlan, Daphne Guiness, the divine Jonathan Adler, Pat Cleveland, and many other fashion swells.
I love Iman!!! I was lucky enough to be seated between she and New York Times Fashion journo Cathy Horyn, and I was very interested in breaking down Michelle Obama's entire look from the Mexican State dinner with those ladies, who indulged my wish. We went deep about Michelle. Man did she look striking Wednesday night! Oh and we talked about Isaac - only good things of course...
I forgot to say yesterday that Diana Ross closed her show by dedicating it to Michael Jackson and singing "Missing You" and "You Are Not Alone." Do you care? Are you glad I told you?
