Tallulah Novogratz

Hear the Novogratz kids' perspective from 11-year-old Tallulah!

on Apr 13, 20100

Hi I’m Tallulah Novogratz. I’m eleven years old and the daughter of Bob and Cortney Novogratz. I am going to be writing a blog every week about the episodes and what I thought about it. The first episode was a very stressful time. We had to move quickly into a new space. Also, it was sad because we were going to leave our house. I really liked the old house and it was hard to leave, but I knew that our new house was going to be just as cool. Mom was pregnant during the time. We didn’t know if it would be a boy or a girl. Bellamy and I were hoping for a girl because the boys were driving us crazy. When we moved into the temporary space, I didn’t know that it would be so small. When my parents told me I would be sharing a room with all of my siblings I thought they were kidding. They weren’t. The room was small for all 6 of us but we managed. The good part was that we got bunk beds, which we’ve always wanted! To make matters even crazier we had a film crew in our tiny apartment. We got lucky because the whole film crew was very nice, especially a producer named Kassie. She even brought her dog Lambchop to our apartment, which was always really fun! When Mom went to the hospital I couldn’t wait to find out if it was a boy or a girl and was so excited to meet my new sibling. That’s all for now and see you next week.

Hey Tallulah! So in to your show and your family after only one episode. It must be a little challenging and fun at the same time. Way to go sticking up for yourself and the top bunk. I was impressed that you didn't lose your temper which I admire very much!

Can't wait for tonight's show and the new baby's name....I am in to unusual names as well as you can see..

Take care and write again soon!

Tallulah,

You were absolutely correct. In rock, paper, scissors NO explanations are needed or part of the deal! I also loved the way Wolfie tried to psych you out (con you into giving him the top bunk). You girls rock and hold your ground always.

I was a girl in the 1960's and we had very few rights, but I never accepted that and did all the things the boys did, even if I had to fight my friends and family to do them. I grew up to work in 3 different men dominated careers and the only thing I ever regret is that I let my parents bully me out of going to college, which must sound crazy to you kids now, but back then, it wasn't. College was for boys and only a few special girls. Something tells me that Bellamy and you won't have any problems standing up for yourselves.

You kids are incredible and besides the designs of you parents homes you are my husband and my very favorite thing about your show.

Rock on!!!!!!

Hope you took the top bunk! Pretend the camera's aren't there (try) and just be your authentic beautiful self! I was the oldest girl (#2 kid) in a family of 7 so it will make you very strong, independent, brilliant and amazingly capable in all that you do. I hope your show stays on so I can see you all grow into adulthood leading interesting lives. You are all 10's! in my opinion.

My 5 & 7 yr old and I can't wait for the next episode! By the way, way to stick up for yourself when you knew you won rock/paper/scissors! Your entire family is endearing. You are a lucky girl to be exposed to so much culture and experiences and you have AWESOME parents. I am one of 6 kids with a fraternal twin sister, so I can relate to a houseful of siblings.

Your mom...LOVE HER!

What a breath of fresh air for reality TV.
