Dating Service For Trump Lovers Aims to “Make Dating Great Again”
Political talk is a turn-on for these like minded daters.
Trump lovers can now love each other.
Founder David Goss says he was struck with the idea after hearing that a guy stormed out of a restaurant after learning his date loved the real estate mogul turned most polarizing man in America. He finished designing the site earlier this month, and it’s set to launch as an app for Android and Apple this week.
TrumpSingles.com is free, but there’s a catch. If you don’t pay for a membership, you can only send one message a day to a fellow Trump lover. And with all Trump says and does on a daily basis, we’d imagine multiple messages are a necessity.
The site currently has 27,600 Twitter followers.
Are political leanings more important than ever when dating? Nine out of 10 people feel the 2016 elections are more polarizing and controversial than the 2012 elections, according to a survey of 1,800 U.S. adults by VitalSmarts, a training and consulting firm in Provo, Utah. And 1 in 3 respondents say they’ve been attacked, insulted, or called names during a political discussion, and 1 in 4 say they’ve had a political discussion hurt a relationship.
MarketWatch spoke to Goss about TrumpSingles.com, which has 27,500 followers on Twitter.
The tagline for the site? “Make dating great again.”
