Halle Berry made waves at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles in June when photographers captured her holding her stomach with what looked like a baby bump. A rep for the actress, 50, who has a nine-year-old daughter and three-year-old son, quickly shot down rumors that she was with child.
Turns out, she was actually with burger and fries, which made a "pouf" in her tummy area. Red carpet shutterbugs created a misleading moment by publishing shots of the fleeting moment when she put her hands around her belly while changing poses to put her arms on her hips, she explained to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"I was not holding my stomach, can I show you what I did? I was on the red carpet doing my thing, like boom boom boom, right? And I was like this and all of a sudden my arms were down and I thought I'm going to put my arms back on my hips. So I go like this and when I went like that they went [makes camera clicking noises."
She was happy to be asked the question so she could demystify a common paparazzi technique.
"But this is what these tricky mf's do, they put up picture and they make it like it was a moment but it wasn't a moment, it was just in transition."
