It's not easy to crack a beaming smile on a Monday morning — unless you're Kate Middleton. After stepping out in a pale-blue Temperley London frock last week, the duchess made another public appearance on Monday. Not only was the radiant mom all smiles, she even managed to dance with an unexpected partner.
Middleton, 35, accompanied husband Prince William, 35, and brother-in-law Prince Harry, 33, on a rather adorable outing to London Paddington train station. The royals met with children associated with their charities — and with Paddington Bear himself.
The plush storybook character was on hand to greet his famous guests, and even twirled Middleton around in an impromptu, and highly adorable, little jig. Don't make us choose whether Paddington or Kate is cuter.
But — with due respect to the bear — we'd pick Kate's knee-length dress over Paddington's rain-ready ensemble any day. Middleton is a fashion (and hair) icon in her own right. But, with her smooth hairstyle and classically ladylike, pale-pink look by Orla Kiely, she channeled Jackie Kennedy today.
After all, it would take a Jackie or Kate type to look that elegant dancing with a costumed bear. And, to pull off a twirl without mussing a single strand of hair.
Kate must have some really good hairspray. Or superhuman powers. We're thinking option B.
