It’s no secret that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ sometimes cast member Kim Richards has struggled with her share of personal demons. She publicly battled substance abuse, but has since come around to a sober life (no matter what Lisa Rinna has to say about it).
Kim cites many things that have helped her road to recovery: Her relationship with her sister, Kyle Richards; her supportive friendships with Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Hadid; and her work with the animal rescue Skydog Sanctuary.
Kim began volunteering at the non-profit Mustang sanctuary last year, and once said on her Instagram “I can’t even begin to tell you peace & love that I felt from [the horses].” She has continued her rescue work with the organization ever since. And just yesterday, she shared a new photo of a rescue horse named Remington who was saved from a kill pen in Washington.
“She is the most beautiful mare and today she [is] happy and living the life she deserves!” Kim posted. We’re so happy to see Kim channeling her personal growth and positive energy into something as powerful and important as animal rescue.
Keep up the amazing work, Kim!
