Popular Cheating Website Adult Friend Finder Hacked, Millions Of Users Exposed

Uh oh, you wanted it to remain private.

Millions of people who signed up on sex hookup site Adult Friend Finder have been hacked—and their information has been released.

The personal details of users have been exposed in one of the largest ever data breaches, U.K.’s The Telegraph reports that the email addresses and passwords of 412 million accounts have been leaked. Over 5 million email addresses were stolen in the breach, as well as the date of the last visit to the site from each user.

Adult Friend Finder describes itself as “one of the world's largest sex hook-up” sites. It has more than 40 million users.

The hack is much bigger than the one on cheating site Ashley Madison, which released the emails of 37 million of its users.

In even worse news, information for people no longer on the site was still stolen—details on 15 million accounts that had been deleted were found because they had remained on the company's servers.

Anyone who has signed up on the site in the last 20 years could be at risk, and should take proper measures to change their passwords and contact the company.
