It was the fight of the season on last night's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County: Vicki Gunvalson called out Lauri Waring Peterson for telling Gretchen Rossi about Vicki's supposed threesome. (Confused? Stay with us.)

And on last night's episode of Watch What Happens Live, the returning Housewive explained why she told Gretchen about the alleged tryst in the first place—even when she didn't have concrete proof.

"I couldn't see what [Vicki and the other two] were doing," she admits, before adding that she was basing her proof on previous experience. "It wasn't just the first time. It was the second time. Same people [with Vicki]."

Lauri adds that she was upfront about not having hard knowledge of a tryst. "I didn't want to say [to Gretchen] that it was a sexual relationship because I didn't know. So I made it very clear to her I thought at the time. Sometimes you don't get out what you're thinking. I wanted to make it clear that I wasn't positive."

Either way, the damage was done and Lauri and Vicki had a blowout on the slopes while in Whistler, Canada.

So what were Lauri's motives for making such assertions? Hypocrisy on Vicki's part was one reason. "I had heard the rumors that there was a conflict between Gretchen and Vicki and that Vicki had called her out on infidelity...How do you call someone else out on the same thing that you're doing? You don't."

Watch Lauri explain herself on last night's episode of WWHL and tell us in the comments: do you think Lauri was right to tell Gretchen about Vicki's rumored threesome?
