Yes, Kyle Cooke is Finally Going to Cut His Mullet and He Revealed Exactly When
The Summer House cast member will be chopping off his iconic mullet very soon, and viewers will get to witness it firsthand.
Summer House Season 8 has produced some pretty great moments so far this season and there's still plenty more to come. But nothing has been more iconic than Summer House cast member Kyle Cooke's mullet, which has practically become its own cast member.
Kyle's blonde hairdo is all business in the front — which is good for when he is attending Loverboy meetings — and party in the back, which is handy for the parties held at the Summer House. While Kyle's mullet has added some major flair to his look this season, he admitted that it's not going to last forever.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday, April 11 with Summer House newcomer, West Wilson, Kyle revealed his plans for his hair to Andy Cohen. Let's just say, the mullet's days are numbered.
Kyle Cooke's Plans for Cutting Off His Mullet
Andy asked Kyle on WWHL if he would ever consider cutting off his mullet during the upcoming Summer House Season 8 reunion. Kyle only had one response to his question.
"Well, you tell me, Andy. Do you have a sharp pair of scissors?" he asked.
"Yes," Andy replied. "Can we do this?"
"We're going to do it," Kyle confirmed, to a round of applause from the audience and a high-five from Andy. "I will say, not to get sappy on you guys, but my grandmother passed away two weeks ago, and pretty much the last thing she said to me was, she hates my hair," Kyle said, sharing that they called his grandmother "mooey."
"Mooey, we got you," Andy replied.

Kyle Cooke's Mullet's Best Moments
While Kyle's time is short with his mullet, there is plenty of time to remember all of the good times that Kyle has shared with his hair. Kyle first announced that he would be growing out a mullet nearly two years ago at NBCUniversal's upfront presentation in May 2022.
"It's all happening," he told BravoTV.com at the time. "I am growing [a mullet]. My stylist told me that this is the grow-in stage. It's pretty awkward but I'm committed."
Kyle confirmed that he would be committed to the mullet, until his wife, Amanda Batula, forced him to chop it off. "I think she was along for the ride originally because I don't think she thought I would be able to continue on through the awkward stage," he said. "Until she makes me chop it off, we're full steam ahead."
Indeed, Kyle went full steam, rocking his mullet throughout Winter House Season 3 and BravoCon 2023, with Kyle admitting to Andy during an Oct. 2023 appearance on WWHL that he wasn't going to cut it off any time soon. "I'm gonna try and grow [it] out and maybe auction [it] off for [the] charity [...] Locks of Love," he said.
While Kyle's mullet might be leaving us very soon, it will forever be memorialized in Summer House Season 7 and Season 8.
