This Couple Dropped $6.4 Million On A Wedding - And Bought 1 Million Flowers For The Day

A 12-foot cake? Check.

The son of a Nigerian oil tycoon and his model girlfriend dropped $6.4 million on a wedding—which was held inside a huge palace, and featured one million flowers.

The two tied the knot at Blenheim Palace in England (birthplace of Winston Churchill) this weekend and with an estimated cost of £5million ($6.4 million), it was a far cry from the average summer wedding.

The groom, Folarin Alakija, is the son of Folorunsho Alakija, named by Forbes as the 18th richest person in Africa. The bride, Iranian-born Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar while studying in London.

As for the wedding, Victoria's Secret Angel Shanina Shaik was a guest, a marble floor covered with the couples initials in gold was used for the first dance, one million white flowers were spread throughout the room, a 12-foot wedding cake was cut, and Robin Thicke performed.

Celebrity florist Jeff Leatham, who is the artistic director of the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, helped arrange the reception.
