You Can Make Your Own Westminster Dog Show Bracket (And You Probably Should)

You can finally give your fave breed its due!

Have you ever been privy to a conversation that starts with, “Hey, how’s your team doing?” And then someone says, “Oh I gotta drop Anderson,” and then another person is like, “Why? He’s going two for the four. I woulda grabbed him if I’d been higher in the draft,” and then another person is like, “You’re all insane. I’m dominating with Scrandleton!”

That’s fantasy football, right? WE DON’T KNOW.

Furthermore, we don’t care. But finally—finally!—there is a bracket that we do care about, and it’s called the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Bracket Challenge. Just like it says on the tin, it is a bracket where you get to predict the winners of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which airs this coming Monday and Tuesday (February 13 and 14).

To create your bracket, just complete a quick registration, then select winning breeds for each Group and ultimately Best in Show. Honestly, the selection process is pretty fun in and of itself (it feels really gratifying to award Best Herding Dog to the Puli after so many years of watching them get the shaft).

But listen up: There’s monetary motivation as well. If you correctly predict all Group and Best in Show breeds, you can win up to 1 million dollars. (If multiple people correctly select all Group and Best in Show winners, they will split the million dollar prize. We don’t work for Purina Pro Plan, but you can view the Official Rules here.)

In all likelihood, we are not going to win the million dollar prize, but it was still fun to follow our gut instincts and celebrate our favorite breeds. Here, Unleashed shares two of our writers’ brackets.
