The kookier the better in my book! I really enjoyed my time with Rosemary. You only saw a snippet of our visit, but we spent a lovely hour together.
I learned that she's a personal friend to Bill Cunningham, The New York Times fashion photographer. And a friend of Bill's is someone I want as my friend. She is kind, creative, open-minded, and open-hearted, like him. Have you seen the film, Bill Cunningham New York? Oh my goodness, if not, you should, and you'll understand what I am talking about. It'll feed your soul and inspire you.
I recently had an exciting New York moment when riding my bike along Central Park West. All of a sudden I spotted the man himself on his bike wearing the signature blue smock! I gushed "Hi Bill, I love you!" as I rode up next to him to try and take his photo. It was was nighttime and there was a ton of traffic. Probably fearing our safety he politely said, "Go ahead child" so I pedalled on ahead with a treasured snapshot in my mind.
Ambria's Sex and the City obsession paid off for us because she was able to recognize Rebecca Weinberg. And although she promised more than we could deliver with vintage wears, Karina saved the day with her family connection to Keni Valenti with his enormous closet and its "orgasmic" collection. Nice work scoring us a major celebrity stylist girls!
Rebecca wasn't the first to inquire about vintage fashion. Though we mainly sell contemporary fashion (items generally less than two years old), we do love vintage, and occasionally accept older pieces that fall into the "contemporary classic" category.
