Wesley True was born and raised in Mobile, AL and attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford where he first became interested in a culinary career. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Wesley worked in some of the best kitchens in New York City most notably the Danube, Bouley, Aquavit, Mesa Grill and Public Restaurant. He took his knowledge and passion for cooking back to Alabama where he served as the Executive Chef at TRUE and was nominated for the James Beard Award for "Best Chef of the South" in 2011 and 2012.
