Things We Know

Hello and welcome to our world- Bravo world!

Here's something you may not know: Sweet P missed her dog during the filming. A lot. She told us this on the third day of the competition. She cried a little. God bless her, that horrible collar she sent down the runway tonight was wow, utterly utterly tragic. Still - cries about her dog. What's not to love?

When we saw that it was a menswear challenge -- we got very excited. And then, there's handsome Tim Gunn at Rockefeller Center introducing the designers to ... Tiki Barber! Who...plays in some sort of footie match! And is on the TV! (Quick phone calls to our mothers revealed that he's very popular and they all have huge crushes on him.)

Then there's this weird part where Jack is carrying Christian around in a tote bag. When we met Christian, he told us he was fierce. At least three or four times. And he is fierce. So it's good to see he's also into being carried around by a muscley dude as well. That's kinda hot, almost. Speaking of which -- there should probably be more male models challenges on "Project Runway." Market research will probably (just guessing) indicate that a Bravo audience is probably going to respond to a bunch of shirtless 20 year old dudes standing around trying on pants. We've been wrong about this sort of thing before, but something tells me we're spot on here.

Mood, the fabric store, really looks like that. And is also up like a thousand flights (there's an elevator) -- you know what's shocking? Fabric is kind of expensive. That sounds sort of foolish, but whenever we hear Tim say things like, "your budget is $80" and the designers all gasp -- yeah, it turns out -- $80 dollars is hard to do. And we're not so sure about Jack's design. Yes, it's adorable, and much more Tiki-ish than say, Christian's outfit. (which is, as advertised, fierce) But we were really into Kit. Which apparantly is not her real name. (Kit Pistol? Not her real name? You're joking...).

A blazer made of fleece probably has to be seen close up to really appreciate (or not appreciate) it, but that guy looked great in that jacket, and if Tiki was covering any kind of event that was outdoors - he would have looked fierce in it. You know what we like about Carmen? It's hard to tell if she's mean. We're pretty sure that if we're ever in a bar with Carmen and fighting with anyone over a booth - we'd win because she'd make it happen. That's all we have to say about it. She's just sorta cool, in the way that makes us not want to cross her in any way. Also - she's got a thing for Zora Neale Hurston. And being that there's a shockingly high percentage of theatre majors among us, there's something awesome about that. So, it's sad to see her go.

Did we not introduce ourselves? We're the people who read your comments every day, who alert our bosses when you're looking for a recipe or more information about what happened to Jo on "The Real Housewives" - we're the people who make this website. Sometimes we do interviews with talent. It's "Project Runway" season - which is why we look so tired. And so, drunk with our own power, (and trapped in the building during the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting...) we decided it was time.

We're mostly some bookish, nerdy gay dudes, some wildly over-qualified and very chic women (who have a lot of gay friends), one or two insanely hepped-up recent college graduates who can identify each member of the cast of "The Hills," and then a whole SLEW of straight dudes who design and produce all of our insane ideas. Also, we write the in royal we. Nobody's sure why. But we always have. And we're sticking to it.

In a nutshell, working here is like watching "Project Runway" with both the cast of "Will and Grace," and the cast of "M*A*S*H." We'll catch you next week, gang.
