It seems like almost yesterday when Nick Verreos appeared on Season Two of Project Runway. Yet it has been over two years since the show and his now-infamous "Barbie Challenge." Nick has remained quite busy since then. Soon after Season 2 ended, Nick began to carve himself a "parallel career" when Hollywood came calling, asking for his expertise and fun commentary for award show red carpet events such as the Grammys, Oscars and SAG Awards. Nick has appeared and/or co-hosted TV Guide Network's Fashion Wrap with Lisa Rinna as well as The Fashion Team, Reality Chat, E! Entertainment's Countdown to the Oscars and most recently SOAPnet's red carpet coverage of the 2008 Daytime Emmys. He has also made appearances on CW's Crowned, MTV's The Hills and even as a guest mentor on Project Runway Canada. Last year, Nick joined MSN.com's Style Studio, as part of their "Glam Squad." Nick offers web-exclusive style tips as well as blogs about fashion.
Nick has also continued designing for his line, NIKOLAKI. This line of evening and cocktail gowns has been making its own imprint on the red carpet, with celebrities such as Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin (2008 Oscars), Desperate Housewives actress Brenda Strong (2007 SAG Awards), Tila Tequila (MTV Movie Awards, Bravo A-List Awards), Days Of Our Lives Shelley Hennig (2008 Daytime Emmy's), NBC's The Office actress Melora Hardin and comedian Kathy Griffin wearing his gowns.
Somehow with all this, Nick still finds time to teach fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising/FIDM, where he also recently became their official spokesperson. In addition, he has also become a much-sought after speaker at various universities across the US. This November, Nick will debut his spring 2009 collection at the first ever "Islands of the World" Fashion Week in the Bahamas.
