In the wake of Hurricane Michael devastating Florida's Panhandle as well as areas in Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia, killing at least 11 people, according to reports, Bethenny Frankel is once again organizing relief efforts through her B Strong initiative. And The Real Housewives of New York City philanthropist is heading right to where help is needed, including Florida's Mexico beach.
"My team is already on the ground assessing damage [and] blanketing the areas to tell me where the money, relief [and] my time is best used. Being a mom comes first then I have to try to hustle to work and do this at the same time," she shared on Twitter, adding that she's already been getting calls from other influential folks like Katie Couric.
Bethenny has made it her mission to help those in need following natural disasters since 2017. And she compared a bit of her work this time around to when she headed to Puerto Rico to help, noting, "I need trucks donated to travel from Miami [where there's a warehouse] to Mexico beach [and] back. I will need drivers, gas, food etc. This effort will be cash cards later but I’ll use [money] for these items as well. The mission is different. PR was planes? Now it’s trucks."
Bethenny, who recently also stepped up in the wake of Hurricane Florence last month, also noted that she is definitely one in her team to organize these efforts to help those in need: "It really takes so many people. I’m just the switchboard girl."
