Brittany Cartwright Reveals the First Person She Shared Her Pregnancy News With

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have a little bundle of joy on the way! The Vanderpump Rules couple shared their exciting news with the world in a September 21 Instagram post, writing, “The love of our lives is coming soon.” Of course, before Jax and Brittany announced the pregnancy, they had to tell their loved ones, and the mom-to-be recently revealed who was the very first person to find out. 

In an emotional November 17 post, Brittany shared a screenshot of a FaceTime call with her mother, Sherri Cartwright. “This picture is blurry I know…but my Mom was the first person we told we were pregnant and when we did she replied, ‘This is why god saved my life,’” wrote Brittany. “I cry even retyping it! She has been through so much this year, but she still keeps that beautiful smile.” 

“I love you so much Mom and today I am so thankful for you, your recovery, and all the doctors who helped save your life,” Brittany continued. “My son has the best Mimi ever and I cannot wait to see you two together.” 

Sherri responded to the sweet post in a comment, writing, “Love you and the baby so much.” Fellow Vanderpump Rules cast member James Kennedy also chimed in, adding, “This warms my heart!” 

In another comment, Brittany shared some details about Sherri’s not-so-new name, “Mimi.” In response to a follower who wrote, “Beautifully stated. And it’s so cute that she already has her ‘new’ forever name. It’s an amazing right of passage,” Brittany explained, “She’s been Mimi for almost 17 years, I have two nephews and a niece. But still so special.” 

Brittany and Jax have also shared that they are expecting a baby boy, due in April 2021.
