Why Ciara Miller Is "Scared" to Date West Wilson After Her Drama with Austen Kroll
Although Ciara described her budding romance with her Summer House castmate as "fun," there is one thing holding her back.
As Summer House viewers saw on the Season 8 premiere, Ciara Miller and West Wilson had an instant connection during their first weekend as Hamptons roommates. However, as they continue to get closer, Ciara is hesitant to progress her relationship with West because of her past drama with Austen Kroll.
In the clip above, which is a preview of Summer House Season 8, Episode 6, Ciara takes a car ride with Craig Conover. After Craig raises the subject of Ciara's budding romance with West, she says, "He's very affectionate and very sweet. It's fun, honestly."
Craig notes, "It's funny that you like, not goobers— " and begins to search for another word to use when Ciara chimes in, "I love goobers. [West and Austen] are goobers. Because I just like someone who will make me laugh."
Craig agrees, saying, "You and West make sense to me," and later adds, "He seems like a good guy, Ciara."

Ciara goes on to explain how her situation with Austen made her afraid to pursue something more serious with West. "I think I'm scared of, like, it all blowing up in my face again," she says. "It makes it harder to put yourself out there because it's like, I was already embarrassed one time, you know?"
For those who need a refresher on Ciara's situation with Austen, Kyle Cooke sums it up to West in the video above: "They had a little thing...but then Lindsay [Hubbard] invited Austen to her birthday two years ago and made out with him in front of everybody. He kind of caused a lot of chaos, and she felt pretty disrespected by him."
With that in mind, Ciara explains she's hesitant to let her guard down with West: "I'm scared of it all blowing up in my face again."
In an episode interview, Ciara opens up more about how her drama with Austen is causing her to keep a guard up with West. "It's been several years since me and Austen have spoken to each other, and I'm way past that, but I feel like, on TV, you can't live it down," she says in the video above. "The guy that you date sticks with you for literally f-cking ever. People still come up to me, they call you an idiot, they call you dumb. All this sh-t you were already kind of thinking about yourself."
"So, I'm trying not to overthink with West," she continued. "But I'm still cautious because I don't want another f-cking dude embarrassing me."
