Where did Jesse Solomon work before his investor relations job?
When describing how he got into the investor relations business, Jesse explained, "I started a company and we raised, like, $11 million from venture capitalists, and I [thought], 'Oh, I'm kind of good at raising money. I could do this for a living.'"
The Illinois native confirmed he then worked for a private equity firm and a private credit firm.
Before working in finance, Jesse attended the University of Miami in Florida and studied music business. "I got in for vocal jazz performance and I studied music business, so I had to sing every day," he revealed.
"I wanted to work in the music business out of college and it was either New York or LA," he continued. "I just had a lot more friends living in New York, so I just thought it'd be a good place for me. Then I got the job at [entertainment agency] William Morris [Endeavor] in the mail room in New York, so it was kind of my dream job at the time."
Jesse also confirmed that he's now "back and forth" between Miami and New York, adding that he just got a new apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
