Teresa Giudice had her first visit with Joe Giudice in prison, three weeks after he entered Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix on March 23 to serve his 41-month sentence. A source close to the family tells People the visit took place on Friday, April 15.
"She was so happy to see him. It was a very emotional visit," the source said about the meeting between The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple. Prior to the visit, family attorney James J. Leonard Jr. shared that "approval is complicated [for Teresa] due to the rules of her supervised release" following her release from prison back in December. There's no word on if or when their four daughters will be able to visit their father.
In addition to visiting Joe, it's been business as usual for Teresa, who spent her weekend with their daughters dining out and attending Gabriella's soccer game, as well as meeting with fans as she continues to promote her bestselling memoir, Turning the Tables.
RHONJ returns later this year, and will feature Teresa as she returns to her normal life following her 11-month prison sentence in 2015. Check out a preview, below.
