Kary Brittingham Opens Up About Her and Husband Eduardo's Decision to Divorce

Kary Brittingham announced that she and her husband, Eduardo Brittingham, are getting a divorce during Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Dallas Season 5 reunion. Now, the Dallas Housewife is opening up more about the couple's decision to end their marriage.

Kary posted a message on Instagram in advance of Part 1 of the RHOD reunion airing on May 4 in which she broke the news about her relationship with fans. "I’ve shared my life and my family with you on camera for the last two years-all of the ups and downs," Kary wrote. "As we go in to tonight’s episode, I want you to know that Eduardo and I have made the very tough decision to separate." 

The post featured a photo of Kary, Eduardo, and their children. Kary and Eduardo have one daughter together, Isabella, in addition to Kary's three kids from her previous marriage: daughters Sofia and Olivia and son Alex.

Kary noted in her post how she and Eduardo, who celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary last month, intend to work together to co-parent their children moving forward. "He has been the most amazing father these past 17 years to my four kids and for that I am eternally grateful," Kary said. "We are stepping into this new journey as co-parents together and while I know it’s going to be an adjustment, I am confident that we can handle this next chapter of life with the same amount of mutual respect and love we’ve shared with each other for so long."

Kary ended her post by showing gratitude to her loved ones and fans for their support during this difficult time. "I am so thankful for my amazing kids and friends for surrounding me during this new transition. I want to thank each and every one of you for welcoming my family into your homes- embracing us during the tough times and laughing with us through the fun times," she shared. "Starting over at 50 is scary and change can be hard, but I know that we are doing the right thing for ourselves and our children. If you believe in the power of prayer, please pray for us as we walk through this uncharted territory. Love, Kary."

Kary's children sent their love to their mom in the comments of her Instagram post, as did Stephanie Hollman, who wrote, "Love love you so much! You are strong, bold and beautiful. Sending love and prayers to you and your family sweet friend."

Kameron Westcott showed her support for Kary in the comments to her Instagram post and also tweeted as the RHOD reunion aired, "My heart goes out to you @karybrittingham!! Always here for you!! #RHOD #LOVEHER #HANGINTHEREBABE."

Even though D'Andra Simmons went through ups and downs with Kary this season of RHOD, she shared that she will always be there for her friend. "It takes great strength to not only show your relationship on TV, but to come clean about the hard parts," D'Andra tweeted on May 4. "Wishing you love and happiness."

The RHOD Season 5 reunion continues with Part 2 on Tuesday, May 11 at 10/9c.
