During the sit-down with her fellow RHOD cast members and Andy Cohen, which aired on May 4, Kary got emotional as she discussed her reaction to watching her behavior on the show this season. "Oh, Andy. Definitely, this was a really tough season for me, and watching it back, I realize how much hurt and how much I was struggling in my life. As I watch that, I realize how much in pain I was," Kary shared. "My marriage was falling apart, and I didn't want to admit it."

Kary then revealed what happened after filming on Season 5 wrapped in her relationship with Eduardo, with whom she celebrated her 12th anniversary in April. "Well, you know, after the show finished, me and Eduardo had to have a real hard talk, and we decided that we needed to go our separate ways," Kary said. "We just told our kids right before coming to the reunion."

The couple has one daughter together, Isabella, in addition to Kary's three children from her previous marriage: daughters Sofia and Olivia and son Alex.

Kary attributed much of her behavior this season of RHOD to what was going on in her personal life at the time. "So, obviously, I'm really scared, and I think I was definitely just trying to mask what I was going through," she said at the reunion. "I'm very ashamed of my behavior and my kids seeing that. I really regret it. I mean, I'm thankful for my girlfriends for pointing it out. It made me really take a close look at what I was going through."

She also explained why she didn't open up more about her marital issues in Season 5. "I don't know, Andy. I don't think I was ready," Kary said. "I just knew I was not in a good place, but I guess I was scared. I didn't want to admit it."

Last season, Kary's first on RHOD, she was candid about wanting to be more independent and make sure she was financially stable, should anything happen between her and Eduardo. "We sold our house, and he did help me some with a prenuptial agreement that we have. Obviously, I have a jewelry business that I've been working on and trying to build," Kary shared an update during the reunion. "I am gonna have to work and make my own money. It's definitely scary, but I can do it."

"Yeah, you can," Andy assured Kary. Kameron Westcott joined him in sending love to Kary, sharing, "I want to hug you, Kary, so bad."

Stephanie Hollman told her friend, "You are so loved and you are so strong and such an amazing person, and we're here for you. You're gonna be OK. You're so strong."

Even though the future of her friendship with Kary is still to be determined, D'Andra Simmons also showed her support. "I know you're gonna be very successful in everything you do," D'Andra told Kary. "Your happiness is the most important thing."

The RHOD Season 5 reunion continues with Part 2 on Tuesday, May 11 at 10/9c.
