Whoa! Kroy Biermann Tried to Break Up with Kim Zolciak-Biermann Back in the Day?

In the history of great, classic couples, we'd rank Don't Be Tardy's Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann right up there with Jay and Bey and Kate and Wills. But, thanks to a new revelation that Kim revealed on her podcast, the couple almost parted ways back in the day. Shocking, we know. So let's take a moment to process the what if magnitude of this, and then dig right in. 

In an August 22 Instagram post, the House of Kim with Kim Zolciak podcast host teased the topic of her latest episode. Showing two photos of her now-hubby in a Speedo — as Kim does — and wrote: "Fun Fact: Today 8 years ago Kroy TRIED to break up with me ... that lasted only 24hrs." She added that she'd tell more of the sordid tale on her podcast, and Kim delivered on that promise! 

In House of Kim, The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom said to her hubby: "Let's jump into the fact that you clearly realized very quickly you made a very big mistake." After rehashing how she met Kroy — get a quick refresher, here! — Kim relived how their under-the-radar romance had leaked to the press shortly after they started dating. 

And after the press-shy Kroy had gone to play a game in Florida, he sent Kim the now infamous breakup text. "He was going to play a pre-season game or something like that. But we had gone out a couple times and people had cameras out, and somebody was like, 'They're in Whole Foods together,' and they were posting on Twitter..."

Well, it seems like the media uproar was (momentarily) too much to bear for Kroy. "It was definitely a lot for everybody to handle," Kim said. "I was doing a photo shoot because I got new boobs back then, and I was doing a photo shoot for the cover of a magazine ... Everything's great! Or so I thought. I wish I had my old phone to read you guys the text." Oh, how we wish she did, too! 

In his best effort to recreate the text verbally, Kroy said: "It was probably something to the effect of: 'Hey, just wanted to let you know it might be in our best interest to go our separate ways.'" Kim interjected: "That's exactly what it said! You jerk!" 

Kim added that she was sick to her stomach during the whole shoot, and that her close pals were trying to comfort her. "So, I can't sleep that whole night which is totally out of character for me," she shared. "So the next day, I think the next day you sent me flowers ... can we talk, and the rest is history. Literally history. He thought he was slick, y'all."

All's well that ends well!
