Lisa Vanderpump Reveals How She Plans to Congratulate New Parents Lala Kent and Randall Emmett

Lala Kent welcomed her first child with fiancé Randall Emmett earlier this week, and Lisa Vanderpump couldn't have been happier for the new parents. But while speaking to The Daily Dish on March 15, just hours after Lala announced daughter Ocean Kent Emmett's arrival, Lisa noted that she's going to give Lala some space before she shares her congratulations.

"Well, I will be speaking to Lala. I think Pandora [Lisa's daughter] said to me if you’re gonna call her. I said no, I’m just like, you know, the last thing I think people want is to be bombarded with phone calls when they’ve just had a baby," Lisa said. "I think she just needs to relax and recover because it’s a lot bringing another person into the world."

However, Lisa was certainly planning on congratulating Lala and Randall on their newborn, sharing, "But I will definitely be sending them flowers and speaking to Randall, I’m sure, at some stage today or tomorrow."

Lisa, who has raised two children of her own, daughter Pandora and son Max, encouraged Lala to "make the most" of these first days of motherhood. "It’s the best time of your life, and it goes by in an instant. It really does. Take one day at a time, because also, it’s hormones jumping everywhere. It could be quite emotional and quite challenging the first few days when everybody’s thinking, 'Oh it’s all rainbows and butterflies.' And sometimes, you know, your hormones are, like, on a roller coaster," Lisa shared her advice for the new mom. "So just don’t put any pressure on yourself, and enjoy the moment and get plenty of sleep."

Lisa was actually one of the first people with whom Lala shared that she was expecting her first child while chatting in a September 2020 episode of the Vanderpump Rules couple's podcast, Give Them Lala ... with Randall. "A baby! Oh my goodness! A little baby Emmett! Oh my gosh! How exciting for you guys!" Lisa reacted to the happy news at the time, adding, "You know what? It makes me want to cry. But I don't want to cry because my eyelashes will fall off."

The two got to spend some time together during Lala's pregnancy in one of the upcoming episodes of Lisa's new E! series Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump, which premieres Thursday, March 18 at 9/8c. "Lala is very bright, she’s very funny, and I thought she was a great mix and match with Anna Camp. It’s just really good, and the episode’s fantastic. They get on really well, and they really kind of play well together. So they were a lot of fun," Lisa said. "She’s never lost her sense of humor. She’s always bringing something that’s naughty. And I just love me some Lala."
