Lala Kent Reveals Big News About Her Company: "The Brand Needs to Stand on Its Own"

Vanderpump Rules viewers have watched over the years as Lala Kent has built her brand, Give Them Lala. At a June 2021 bash for Give Them Lala Beauty (which was documented in Season 9, Episode 12) she declared, "The beauty line has been out for — we're approaching five years. And it is a success!" 

More recently, in Season 11, Episode 7 of the show, Lala revealed she is making a major change to her business. 

Lala Kent reveals she is giving Give Them Lala a "rebrand" 

During the episode, which aired on March 12, Lala gave Lisa Vanderpump an update when Lisa stopped by Lala's office. "We're in the process —  I don't like to use the word dissolve, I like to use the word rebrand because that's what we're doing," she said. "I will be Give Them Lala just me, as myself."

Lisa asked, "So you're giving up the name?" to which Lala responded, "Yeah, I've got to get rid of Lala in the name. The brand needs to stand on its own."

Lala continued the explanation in an episode interview. "When I created Give Them Lala, it was very much like I was shoving myself down your throat," she admitted. "I have changed as a person. I am, believe it or not, a little bit more reserved, and I need my brand to reflect that."

In her conversation with Lisa, Lala concluded, "I'm just a bitch in these streets trying to rebrand and get a sperm donor."

Lala Kent is pregnant with her second child

In case you missed it: Lala did find that donor and is currently pregnant with her second child. In an interview published in January, Lala confirmed to Cosmopolitan that she was trying to conceive via Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and selected a sperm donor by looking at a series of questionnaires through California Cryobank. "It took a really long time to find the donor because, you know, it’s strange....It’s like you’re shopping for your partner but only to have a child, so there’s a lot that goes into it," she explained at the time. "But the moment I found this donor, it just spoke to me."

She added with a laugh, "He felt like my baby daddy. So that’s where we’re at."
