This Is How Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds Spent the 4th of July Holiday Amid Cheating Allegations
The RHOC alum got in some quality family time after her son's diagnosis and shared where her husband was during it.
Meghan King Edmonds has been quite open about how challenging that last few weeks of her life have been. In the midst of cheating allegations about her husband, Jim Edmonds, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has since confirmed that her 1-year-old son, Hart, "has irreversible brain damage; it’s called PVL."
In the face of all those obstacles, the RHOC alum seems to be keeping it business as usual over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, and that includes some pool time with her three kids while Dad was away at work.
"Happy Birthday, America! We walked in a neighborhood parade, Hayes and Hart tried their first popsicles, we all went swimming, and Mimi, Papa, Aunt Cakey, and [Nahomy] helped me keep my head from spinning! (Daddy on the road with the Cardinals)," she shared on Instagram.
Despite the distance over the holiday, learning of their son's diagnosis also seems to have brought the Edmonds together. They were there together for his MRI, and she shared on her blog this week that after learning of his condition, "That night Jimmy and I went out to dinner for the first time in weeks."
She continued, "I explained to Jimmy how we are not somehow compromised or punished for having a child with special needs (whatever that may or may not mean!), we are BLESSED. I will go on about this another time but just know that I do not see his diagnosis as anything but a gift: we were chosen to take on this special person. I truly feel as if we’ve doubled down and won the underdog hand. Truly."
