The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member stopped by the Clubhouse to appear on the December 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and she opened up about the reasons why the two decided to "mutual[ly]" part ways, and she also shared a positive co-parenting update, and something surprising about a recent reunion with an ex-boyfriend. Are Mia Thornton and Gordon Thornton divorced?

On WWHL, Mia revealed that she separated from Gordon in June 2023, though the pair didn't publicize the change in their relationship status until September.

The estranged spouses have not officially divorced, Mia shared.

"We're separated," she said on the late night series when host Andy Cohen asked if she was divorced yet.

Mia Thornton Opens Up About Her Separation

The entrepreneur shared some of the reasons why her and Gordon have gone their separate ways.

"I just think that it's a sequence of events over the past couple of years that put a strain on the marriage," Mia said about the cause of the split.

When Andy asked Mia if the couple's recent financial issues played a role in the demise of their marriage, the RHOP cast member said, "Yeah, that has a lot to do with it."

However, when it comes to the decision to formally separate, Mia said that the two were on the same page.

"I'm not gonna point the finger," she said about whether one person called it quits on the marriage. "I think it's mutual."

Since the split was mutual, Mia sounded off on the rumors that Gordon was surprised by the separation.

"He was not blindsided," she said. She also said that attending couples therapy with Gordon on RHOP Season 8 "made it worse" in their relationship.

Mia Thornton Shares a Co-Parenting Update

Mia, who shares son Jeremiah and daughter Juliana with Gordon (Mia also has a son, Joshua, with an ex, while Gordon also has a child from a previous relationship), revealed how her children have been doing in the wake of her separation.

"Kids are great," she said on WWHL. "We're co-parenting very well. We are communicating well, contrary to public belief."

Later on in the episode, Mia shared that the kids have been living in one home consistently. She noted that her and Gordon take turns living in it so the children don't have to move.

Both Mia and Gordon live separately in new spaces when they are not with their kids.

Mia Thornton Reveals She Has a New Boyfriend

In addition to sharing new details about her separation, Mia also revealed something surprising about her love life today: she is in a relationship with a former ex.

After confirming she had a boyfriend on WWHL, Mia shared that she first dated him before she met Gordon. She also confirmed that he is a radio host who is based in Atlanta.

Though she wore a diamond sparkler at BravoCon 2023, Mia and her new beau are not taking the next step in their romance yet.

"I am not engaged; I am committed, yes," Mia said.
