When The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered back in 2009, Milania Giudice hadn't even celebrated her fourth birthday yet. Now, she's college-bound.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Back in January, Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice's third eldest daughter announced on Instagram that she would be attending the University of Tampa for the upcoming fall 2024 semester.

While filling in for her mom as a co-host on the March 13 episode of Namaste B$tches, Milania shared how the weather played a major part in her decision to head to the Sunshine State for her undergraduate years, and why her college choice also pays tribute to her dad.

Where Is Milania Giudice Going to College?

On the Namaste B$tches podcast, Milania explained why she picked the University of Tampa as her college choice.

"Honestly, I have grown so much to hate the cold. I'm so over the cold weather," the New Jersey native told co-host Melissa Pfeister. "I also didn't do the SAT, I didn't do the test. I am not a test taker, I do not like taking tests, I hate taking tests. And I knew I had good grades, so I was like, 'I'm just going to put in schools that go test-optional.' I knew I want warm weather, because I'm so over the cold. I just want[ed] to be close to a beach."

After selecting the Tampa school, Milania realized that the Florida city was only a short plane ride away from Nassau, Bahamas, which is where Joe Giudice has been living.

"Then I really thought about it, like, 'Wait a minute. Florida is 30 minutes away from my dad on a plane. That's so amazing,'" she added. "So, whenever I have a few days off from class or something, I'll go see my dad. It's go[ing to] be so great."

Because Joe has been living outside of the United States since his prison sentence ended in 2019, Milania is hoping to make up for lost time when she's in college.

"It sucks, because I feel like a lot of time has gone, and obviously I haven't had my dad, or like, a lot of time went missing that I should have had with him," she continued. "So, now being closer to him, I'll have a lot more time with him, and it will be better."

When Milania was first thinking about schools, she zeroed in on places in California. However, she soon realized that it was too far from both New Jersey, and from the Bahamas.

"I am a family person..." she said. "I just think the warm weather makes me so happy, and I'm just so over seeing the same scenery... I just want a change of scenery and a change of place."

In addition to appreciating the school's location, Milania is also excited about her college choice in general.

"University of Tampa is a really good, fun school, so I'm really excited," she said. "I'm really excited to go to University of Tampa. I am a Spartan now, so what's up?"

How Teresa Giudice Reacted to Milania Giudice's College Decision

The "Can't Wait to Grow Up" singer also considered her mom's feelings when she decided to go to the University of Tampa.

"My mom is [saying,] 'I'm so excited for you to go to Florida because I'm gonna visit you all the time,'" Milania said about how Teresa will feel to have two of her girls in college at the same time. "She's like, 'I want the warm weather. I'm so happy.' She hates the cold."
