Listen up, because Nene Leakes is spilling all the tea about her time on Celebrity Apprentice. When The Real Housewives of Atlanta pal appeared on Chelsea Handler's Netflix talk show this week, along with other former Celebrity Apprentice contestants, she dished all about her time on the Donald Trump-hosted series and shared that at one point she was approached by him to be involved in his campaign for the presidency.
"They did. They reached out to me. They sent me an email and asked me to, I think, speak or something at one of his rallies and I didn't... No [I don't want to represent him]," she said, when it was pointed out to her that Omarosa Manigault, who appeared on The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice, was recently appointed as his director of African-American outreach.
While Nene may not have been jumping to join Trump on the campaign trail, she did have some nice stuff to say about the Republican hopeful. "Honeslty when I was on the show I thought he was very nice," she said. "I thought he was true to who he was. That was what I liked. I thought his kids were so nice and so humble. They were very nice."
As for her exit from the series, well, Nene was quick to point out that she didn't leave because Trump had fired her. "I quit. Because I felt like it. No, really. I was so over the show. Like, I needed to use my cell phone. I needed to use my computer. I just couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't stand arguing every day on the show. I was about to pull my wig off, so I just quit. I just couldn't take it anymore. It was just a lot for me, I couldnt do it."
