Paige DeSorbo Is Ready to Move Out of Her $8,500-Per-Month Apartment — and Craig Has Thoughts

From the moment Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover started dating in 2021, their long-distance living arrangement has been a hot topic for the couple, as well as Southern Charm and Summer House fans.

In January, a press release revealed that conversation would continue throughout Summer House Season 8, which premiered on February 22. "When [Paige] starts looking for a new apartment in New York, Craig questions her choices, and she is left wondering if her unwillingness to commit is going to push their relationship over the edge," read the release. 

The video above shows the beginning of Paige's hunt for a new home and Craig's initial thoughts on the matter.

In the clip, a preview of Summer House Season 8, Episode 5, Paige called a realtor to discuss her next home. "We need a two-bedroom," she told Craig before the call. "I need a room big enough to have a king-size bed." Craig agreed, saying, "I think that should be important."

Although Paige currently lives in a gorgeous apartment with two bedrooms (one of which she uses as a closet/office), she explained in the preview of the March 21 episode why she was looking to move. 

"I love my apartment, but I feel like something's missing," she said. "I want to involve Craig in this because I do value his opinion, and, like, I do kind of like him. So I do want him to be excited [about] where we are living when he is here. Even though it's my apartment, and what I say goes, and he'll get what he gets in terms of a closet."

On the call with her real estate agent, Paige noted she was on a month-to-month lease, so she was not "in a huge rush" to move. The conversation then turned to Paige's budget, which left Craig stunned. 

"Currently I'm paying [$8,500 per month]," Paige said. "My boyfriend is shaking his head because he lives in Charleston, and he just doesn't understand what we're doing up here."

Although Craig called the rental price "so crazy," Paige shared that she was willing to spend a bit more on her next apartment. "I'll go up to nine [thousand]," she said. "And I think that's where I really would stop."
