All the Hints Paris Hilton Dropped About Daughter London in Paris In Love

Cameras were rolling when the reality star introduced her first child to the rest of her family.

Paris Hilton is keeping her fans — and family — on their toes.

In Season 2 of the Peacock Original Paris In Love, the socialite welcomes her first child, a son named Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum. And though many parents would spend months preparing for the arrival of a newborn, Paris and husband Carter Reum went about things differently, instead keeping the news a secret. That means there was no baby shower or sex reveal party. In fact, the new parents didn't even have a nursery ready.

As Paris explains in the trailer, "I've given my whole life to everyone for so long. It's just been really important to me to keep it a secret. It's the first time that something is just mine."

Why Paris Hilton Kept Pregnancy Secret

Having lived her entire life in the public eye, Paris said on Paris In Love that she wanted to keep her son's birth a secret so she could enjoy their first days without interruption.

"I didn't want this to be a whole scene and I just want this to be something special between us," she tells Carter in Episode 1.

Though Carter wanted to share the news with his family and friends, he explains in a confessional that he understands Paris' desire for privacy because "she's had to go through life having to protect herself."

To maintain the secret as long as possible, Paris and Carter told their staff that the house was being fumigated so no one would be there as they set up the nursery — hours before Phoenix was born.

Kathy Hilton Meets Baby Phoenix

A week after Phoenix was born, Paris invited mother Kathy Hilton to her home to break the news. After awkwardly telling Kathy that she has a surprise, Paris walked in with Phoenix, who was wrapped in a blanket with his name on it.

"You're joking," Kathy exclaimed, holding back tears. "Oh my god. Are you serious?"

Paris apologized to Kathy for not telling her sooner. And then they went to the Hilton family home, where Phoenix was introduced to his grandfather, Rick Hilton, and uncle, Conrad Hilton. From there, Paris FaceTimed sister Nicky Hilton and the news of Phoenix's arrival slowly began to spread.

All the Hints About Baby No. 2

Though Kathy understood why Paris and Carter kept Phoenix's birth a secret, she warned Paris, "When the next one comes, I definitely want to be a part of it. And I would be hurt."

Having welcomed Phoenix in privacy though, Paris said she saw the benefits of keeping her next child a secret. In Episode 8, she told Carter, "It was just so nice having no one bother us. It was just our world."

For this reason, Paris decided to tell Kathy that she and Carter were going to keep their next child a secret. Again, Kathy admitted that she'd like to be included in London's birth but added that her daughter's happiness is what's more important.

"I just want to be as involved as they want me to be," Kathy said in a confessional.

Paris also hinted at London's arrival in Episode 8, talking about her hopes to have two children close in age.

"Life felt complete having Phoenix but I feel like it will feel more complete when I have a daughter, London," she shared. "I want them to be like one grade apart in school. The time is coming soon."

And by soon, Paris meant soon. Just ahead of the Season 2 premiere, she and Carter announced the birth of their daughter, London. She captioned a photo of a pink onesie and stuffed animal, "Thankful for my baby girl."
