Margaret Josephs and Joe Benigno have long been one of The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s cutest couples, and now she’s opening up about their relationship like never before — starting with their “secrets” to a successful relationship.

“Fight it out. Don’t go to bed mad. Do whatever it is to make your relationship a priority,” Margaret shared with BravoTV.com in a recent Q&A with fans. “Don’t take your phone out during dinner! You also have to make sex dates. You gotta keep the spice going!”
How to Follow Margaret and Joe's Advice
If you're struggling with ideas on how to keep the spice going, you're in luck, because Margaret revealed that she and Joe apparently have several tricks for doing so, including joint showers. They’re also big fans of “date night,” even if they’re just setting aside time for “a good movie and dinner in.”
“Joe loves to go out more than I do!” Margaret added. “I know it doesn’t look that way, but he loves going out.”
When it comes to the couple’s more sentimental methods for maintaining their relationship, Margaret praised her husband for how attentive he is. As she put it, “This guy does everything for me.”
What Margaret Loves About Joe
Asked, “What is your favorite thing Joe does for you that know one would even suspect?” Margaret further elaborated on Joe’s thoughtful nature. “Besides the fact that I get a massage almost every single day, he packs my suitcase for me. He’s an amazing packer.”
That’s not Margaret’s favorite thing about Joe, though. When asked by a fan what is, she said, “He is the most gentle, confident, kind being. He has a twinkle in his eye. There’s not an ounce of darkness in his soul.”
“He never comes from a place of ‘no,’ he always comes from a place of ‘yes,’” Margaret continued. “He makes me feel like I can do anything.”
Margaret and Joe's Backstory
RHONJ fans were first introduced to the couple in 2017 when Margaret joined the show as a full-time Housewife for Season 8. At the time, she described the beginning of her relationship with Joe as her "[running] away with the contractor" as she was actually married to another man when they met. Joe, for his part, was also married to someone else when he and Margaret got together.
Regardless, "we were meant to be together," she said.
The couple made things official in 2013 when they eloped to Las Vegas. This June, they're set to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
