The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 reunion with Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda has officially commenced, and while there’s still plenty to come as the show plays out week to week — not to mention the highly anticipated finale, which continues to be teased as precedent setting — there’s no doubt that the ladies stirred up lots of additional drama during the April 20 taping.
Lucky for fans, host Andy Cohen and several cast members are sharing some behind-the-scenes insight.
Teresa Giudice Was “Nervous”
Andy took to his Instagram Stories midday to check in with Teresa and Melissa, though the two weren’t actually in the frame as they spoke to him. Teresa, for her part, admitted that she was previously “a little nervous, but I feel better now.”
“Your heart was beating so fast,” Andy responded before turning to the camera. “I felt it!”
Melissa Gorga Brought Receipts
After telling Andy she was “feeling good,” Melissa revealed that she had made a discovery during the filming break. “I actually just found some receipts in my phone,” she said, prompting Andy to respond, “Oh boy.”
The Group Got “Into the Weeds”
Andy shared as much, telling his Instagram followers, “We’re coming back from lunch, and now we’re getting into the weeds; the jungle.”
Teresa’s response? “I don’t want to get into the jungle, but I guess I don’t have a choice, right?”
The Husbands Came Prepared
Joe Gorga posted an update of his own as he hung out with Rachel’s husband, John Fuda; Margaret’s husband, Joe Benigno; and Dolores’ ex-husband, Frank Catania (who shared a photo of the group as well). “Reunion day! I’m here with the boys,” Joe G. said in an Instagram Story. “We’re getting ready. We’re on a break and we’re going in. We’re going deep.”
Turning to the other three, Joe G. asked, “Has it ever been like this, guys? Has it ever been this dirty?”
“Never,” Joe B. and Frank both responded. Then, seemingly taking a shot at Teresa’s husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, Joe B. said the blame lies with “one person” and their name “starts with an L, ends with an E.”
More Drama Than Reunions Past
Asking Melissa if she was “ready” for the RHONJ husbands to join them, she said, “At this point, I think I’m ready for anything. This is one of the crazier ones, Andy.”
He agreed. “This actually is one of the crazier ones,” Andy said, with a promise that he wasn’t “overhyp[ing] everything.”
Later, Andy also shared a photo of the teleprompter to tease his wrap message. The screen of the teleprompter read, “Ladies, it was a wild ride — cheers to all.”
Jennifer Aydin Was Left Feeling “Exhausted”
Taking to her Instagram Stories after filming wrapped, Jennifer told her followers, “That was a doozie. I came to my pizza place that I came to last year so I can get some pizza.”
The camera then panned to show her T-shirt, which doubled as a callback to the name she gave Margaret during the group’s Ireland trip. “Like my tshirt?” Jennifer asked. “Don’t be a boogawolf.”
Continuing in another Story, Jennifer added, “[The] reunion was a doozie, folks. That was the most stressful thing I think I’ve ever been through. Like, for real. I’m just glad we’re done with it and I’m getting my annual pizza fix.”
Teresa, Dolores, and Danielle had the same idea and grabbed dinner together, along with Dolores’ boyfriend, Paul “Paulie” Connell, and Danielle’s husband, Nate Cabral.
