Does Matt Still Work for Karen Huger? Here’s What We Know
The ladies are planning live shows and celebrating getting degrees on the upcoming December 11 episode of RHOP.
Karen Huger has a close and fabulous inner circle that includes not only her family but also her friends (and frenemies) in The Real Housewives of Potomac cast. Of course, that group also includes Matt Byars, who has popped up on RHOP over the years and is a friend and assistant of sorts to the Grande Dame.
He's Back!
On the upcoming December 11 episode of RHOP, Matt is back and he’s helping Karen plan her live shows. He has some ideas, which you can hear for yourself by pressing play on the video at the top of this post.
Their History
Back in 2019, Karen spoke with The Daily Dish about Matt, revealing more about their long history with each other. “I’ve known Matt since he was about 17, 18 years old. I encourage Matt when life is difficult. A lot of people call me Mama Karen in Potomac because I love helping young folk,” Karen explained. “When life was trying to him, I reached out and told him to go to school, and he did, and now we work together.”
She also called her right-hand man and buddy “a good guy, and us together, two powerhouses together, we make great things happen off-screen, in family and personal life, and we also make things happen fantastic on-screen, as you noticed. We’re good.”

What They're Up to Today
For the record, Karen and Matt’s planning certainly paid off. Karen has been hitting the road for her show, “An Evening with the Grande Dame and Friends,” and sharing all the highlights to her Instagram account.
