Summer House Alum Ashley Wirkus McAtee Welcomes Her First Child

There's a new addition to the Summer House family! Summer House alum Ashley Wirkus McAtee welcomed her first child, a boy, on Sunday, May 26.

“On Friday the most overwhelming love affair began when we welcomed our baby boy Dean Hudson McAtee,” she shared on Instagram along with a photo of the baby from their PEOPLE photo shoot. “To say we are obsessed is an understatement.”

Ashley first shared the happy news that she and husband Brad McAtee would be growing their family in November 2018. Though Ashley has looked positively radiant while showing off her baby bump throughout her pregnancy, her road to motherhood has also had some not-so-glamorous moments. Ashley has been candid about the struggles of dealing with morning sickness during her pregnancy. She was also hospitalized with a case of shingles at 28 weeks pregnant in March.

Ashley's twin sister, Lauren Wirkus, has been by her side as she gets ready to bring home baby, whether physically or in spirit. Lauren announced in February that she would no longer be living in New York City full-time, but rather, she would be splitting her time between the Big Apple and San Diego, California, partially in an effort to be there for her sister as she prepares to welcome her little one.
