To prevent further speculation, Sutton said "the biggest clarification" she wanted to make about the day was that she did indeed eat plenty. "I started off the morning eating breakfast, had lunch, and around 3, started to not feel well. I was going from hot to cold, hot to cold," Sutton told The Daily Dish

What's more, "there was no drinking," Sutton added. "We are very serious when we do everything, and you have to be at your highest level of thinking. Because let's face it, the questions are tough, and you have to be ready for what comes at you."

The actual incident occurred shortly after Kathy Hilton took the reunion stage, but Sutton clarified that she already knew Kathy was going to be in attendance. "It had nothing to do with Kathy," she said of her medical emergency. "I wasn't scared of Kathy — we're friends."

What Actually Happened to Sutton Stracke at the RHOBH Season 13 Reunion

Looking back at the moment that's teased in the RHOBH reunion trailer, Sutton said she remembers "the room literally flipp[ing] upside down."

"And I guess my body just shut down. My blood pressure went to 175 over 120," Sutton continued. "And Andy [Cohen] was so kind, he immediately asked for the medic to come in, and he said, 'You need to go get seen,' and so I left."

Where Sutton Stracke Went After Leaving the RHOBH Season 13 Reunion

Sutton didn't leave the reunion alone, though — instead, she was accompanied to urgent care by her best friend and RHOBH castmate, Garcelle Beauvais

"I started throwing up — it was awful — and the doctor there did my vitals, and she said, 'You've got to get to the emergency room,' which flipped me out, because that is weird. And they put me on a gurney and put me in an ambulance with Garcelle," Sutton recalled before issuing a laugh at one of the day's lighter moments. "I think she was kind of enjoying the ride. She'd never been in an ambulance."

The Reason for Sutton Stracke's Medical Emergency

Sutton and Garcelle eventually reached the ER, and that's where they spent the next four hours as doctors conducted a number of tests, including blood work and a chest X-ray.

"At the end of the day, literally, they just said, 'You are suffering from exhaustion and dehydration,'" Sutton told The Daily Dish. "And on top of it, I had a very severe case of bronchitis. So between those three things, it was the great trifecta. And it took me down — my body just shut down."

She went on to explain that she had been doing a lot of traveling prior to the reunion, and as a result, she was "exhausted."

How Sutton Stracke Is Doing Today After Her Health Scare

Sutton ultimately paid her regular doctor a visit and received antibiotics. After that, she stayed home for 10 days to rest.

"I learned my lesson [and] know to try and take better care of myself," she explained. "You know, I think as a working mother, and doing my new startup with Sutton Brands, it's a lot of traveling. I try to be perfect. I tried to race back home to be with my son, and you just can't do it all. You have to take care of yourself. I think for women especially ... we try to be everything to everyone. And so right now, I'm trying to put my health first. If if my health isn't good, I can't help others. So, it was a big lesson for me."

Another takeaway from the unfortunate incident? "Garcelle was there with me the entire time, and we are truly best friends, because the only somebody that loves you is gonna stay in the emergency room in LA on a Friday night," Sutton added. "And also, I think it's important to point out that not only was Andy truly concerned, he texted me that night and the next day."

Sutton went on to express her gratitude to her other RHOBH castmates, too. "My cast members, all of them texted me to check on me and and followed up not just the next day, but a couple of days after," she told The Daily Dish. "And our production team is amazing. Some of them came to the hospital with me to make sure everything was okay. Like, we really are a team, even though we get in fights and stuff. At the end of the day, we are all there to support one another and I was really kind of overwhelmed by their care and support."
