T.I.: Boobs Are Least of Our Worries
The Atlanta rapper opens up about his sexy "Blurred Lines" video.
Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" featuring Pharrell and T.I. is a strong contender for song of the summer, but the track's super-sexy video has had tongues wagging more than anything recently. So when T.I. popped by the Bravo Clubhouse for last night's Watch What Happens Live he was peppered with questions about the clip, in which the three gentlemen are surrounded by half-naked (and in the explicit version, totally naked!) women.
One caller wanted to know: Was that exciting for him and the other men?
"Well, I won't speak for the other men. But you know, it is definitely a change of pace for me. I'm definitely not used to being around naked women," T.I. deadpans.
But he stressed two things: the clothes came off in an "artsy" way, and his wife, Tiny, was there the whole time. "When you have your wife there with you, she can attest to the fact that absolutely nothing went on."
Speaking of his family, have T.I.'s kids seen the rated-R version of "Blurred Lines"? "I hope not," he says, but reveals he's actually not that concerned. "With all that's going on today, some boobs are the least of our worries."
On the After Show, T.I. admitted he's a fan of some surprising artists: "John Mayer, Daft Punk, Maroon 5...I like to listen to anything that will enhance my mood the way alcohol and THC does."
And he also revealed his appearance on "Blurred Lines" was a total accident.
"I just happened to be in the studio with Pharrell working on something else and he said, 'I've got this record, man, for Robin, I want you to get on it.' Usually, me and Pharrell, we work very closely together, we have just an insane chemistry. So when he played it I went right in and did it not knowing, months later and 3 million singles behind, it'll probably be the move of the year for me."
