The Toms Had a Moment on the Palm Springs Trip You Didn’t See and It Involves LVP
Vanderpump Rules' Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz paid tribute to Lisa Vanderpump in a surprising way.
The unstoppable best friend duo that is the Toms — Vanderpump Rules cast members Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval — had a blast celebrating the Coachella-themed engagement of James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss, along with the couple’s friends, in Palm Springs.
But the BFFs struck out on their own, as they’re known to do, and decided to pay tribute to their boss Lisa Vanderpump during the trip by visiting her honorary star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.
“Such a wonderful time in Palm Springs/Indio,” wrote Sandoval in the caption of the October 19 Instagram post, which showed him wearing a pair of tinted shades, lying down on his side on one half of Lisa’s star while Tom Schwartz strikes a similar pose on the opposite side.
Several Vanderpump Rules cast members took to the comments to share their thoughts on the series of photos.
“Best trip EVER!!” wrote Raquel, while her DJ fiancé also chimed in. “Didn’t you lick that star? Sorry,” James wrote, to which Sandoval replied, “Yes, I did.”
Though the best friends and Schwartz and Sandy's bar owners are as thick as thieves, the Toms have faced some tension in their friendship as Sandoval and Katie Maloney-Schwartz have butted heads in Season 9 and in the past. In a tense exchange, Sandoval expressed how much previous issues with Katie from several years ago still bothered him in the October 19 episode.
“I understand what [Tom Sandoval]’s trying to say to Katie,” said Sandoval's life partner Ariana Madix in an interview during the episode, adding, “His past experiences with her are coloring the way he feels about working with her together now.”
Their restaurant drama has also been a topic of discussion as of late on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Both Sandoval and Katie have shared their respective (and different) takes on their issues with one another during recent separate appearances on the show.
