Happy 30th Lauren Conrad! 8 Genius Travel Tips From the Birthday Girl

Study the star's approach, people — she's a pro.

Thought Valentine’s Day was the big February holiday? Think again. This year, February 1 marks the 30th birthday of the world's most stylish everygirl, whose down-to-earth vibe we totally heart.

That’s right: Lauren Conrad has officially exited her 20s. Besides LC’s killer design sense — and her impressive grasp of the art of cat eye — what inspires us most about the California girl is her true love of globetrotting. From picking carrots at a California spa (true story) to savoring pizza on her Italian honeymoon, here are some lessons in how to enjoy travel, from the sweetest Laguna Beach alum.

First, let us admire LC's adorable (and thoughtful) travel style. When packing, one must always account for lazy, idyllic days spent boating in a pond. Nutshell? Go somewhere where a sundress, sandals, and jaunty hat are necessary.

Conrad never misses a chance to stop and smell the flowers — especially when on the road. LC was traveling back from a long meeting when she a gal pal spotted this field of sunshiney blooms. What did they do? Pull over for a quick twirl.

Another travel tip from the LC IG archives? This one's pretty basic, but here goes: Never, never forget your passport. Oh, and remember to book a dogsitter.

Cheers to the weekend 🌴🍺🍋

There are two rules for lounging poolside like LC. One: Order up a refreshing drink. Two: Color-coordinate your mani. (Seriously, how put-together is she?!)

Lauren lesson five: Never underestimate the power of a good girl's getaway. (Or matching kimonos.)

Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty — especially if it means digging up some fresh produce for a killer salad. When at the Golden Door Spa Resort in Cali, LC got to work in the veggie garden during a tour with the chef.

Conrad's travels aren't all spas and flower fields. Through her work with The Little Market — a company she founded to empower female artisans across the globe — the birthday girl has traveled to countries like Guatemala. And in each place she visits, Lauren connects with locals and learns all about their crafts.

Final tip: Order the pizza. Conrad is the picture of glowing health, but even she knows it's just foolish to turn down a slice of pie in Italy. How does that saying go?
