Rare Childhood Photos Shed New Light on Kristen Doute's Past
But The Valley cast member still flashes the same smile she had as a kid.
Kristen Doute has come a long way since Season 1 of Vanderpump Rules.
When the show premiered in 2013, she was an aspiring actress, working as a server at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant SUR, dating bartender Tom Sandoval, and navigating her relationships with her coworkers and closest friends.
Today, she's appearing on The Valley alongside her boyfriend, Luke Broderick, as they juggle starting a family, caring for their three dogs, running multiple businesses, and figuring out what state they want to call home.
But before all of that, Kristen was just a girl growing up in Michigan with big dreams for her future.

Kristen first moved out to LA to become an actress, and her top roles (according to IMDb) include Behind Your Eyes (2011), 23 Minutes to Sunrise (2012), and Blood on Canvas (2013), to name a few.

Although Kristen got fired from SUR in 2015, she didn't go on a rampage or freak out. Instead, she expressed her gratitude for Lisa Vanderpump in an interview with E! News.

"I've gained weight. I'm 40," Kristen said in an Instagram story posted to her account in May 2023. "You haven't seen me on TV in over three years. That's what I look like. That's just what my face looks like."
Kristen often showcases her Christmas decor on her Instagram account, and this photo of her as a teen suggests she was always an enthusiast for the holiday.
Kristen has settled down in the Valley but before that, she was just a girl sitting on a wicker throne in Michigan.
Although she might have gone on to pursue more creative outlets as an adult, Kristen was once a sporty gal, as evidenced by this photo of her dressed up in roller hockey gear.

Kristen graduated from high school before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her acting dreams instead of going to college. During her time in high school, Kristen was on the cheerleading squad, according to Radar Online, and was voted runner-up for "Best Actress" in her high school yearbook during her senior year.
In 2018, Kristen told Style and Living that she had one important piece of advice for her 18-year-old self: "Don't wax your eyebrows."
