Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Goes Makeup-Free and Promises to "Continue Being Authentically Me"

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is taking on the trolls. After posting a glammed up version of herself on August 5 — The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal had just had her hair and makeup done, and was looking mighty fierce — she got some unexpected backlash from Instagram users. So the next day, she wiped off the makeup, snapped a selfie, and posted a raw, truthful message to go along with her scrubbed-clean look. 

"Yesterday I posted a selfie where I had my hair and make up done and it became a full time job deleting comments and blocking people," she wrote in part on August 6. "I can’t understand why anyone would go out of their way to write something rude on a strangers page about something as silly as them wearing make up on a night out and I want to shed some light on this. Here I am as I wake up this Monday morning. I have not changed. I am who I am but from time to time I will dress up. I will experiment with make up and I may even post a selfie show casing the make up artists and hairstylists hard work." (Note: She's included Kyle Richards' adorable daughter Portia in that mix of artists to showcase!) 

At the end of her message, Teddi inspired followers to channel their energy into something far more positive than typing out snarky comments. "I empower you to dig deep and think about YOUR GOALS, YOUR DREAMS and TAKE ACTION. Mine are to continue being authentically me while working hard to grow and have some fun doing just that," she wrote.
