Joe Giudice Says He Drank 2 Bottles of Wine a Night When Teresa Was in Prison
The Real Housewives of New Jersey father opened up about his drinking habits during a dark time.
During Sunday night's The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked, Andy Cohen asked Joe Giudice: "What was the hardest part about Teresa [Giudice] being away [in prison] for you?" That's when Joe opened up about his drinking habits during that tough time.
Teresa did an 11-and-a-half month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut in 2015. "I've gotta tell you something, it was very hard," he said. "It really was, it was very hard. And I drank the most when she was away."
He clarified, "I wouldn't drink during the day, but I would drink at night, when I came home I would like literally drink a couple of bottles of wine, after the kids went to sleep, of course. I would literally just drink like two bottles of wine. Every night, I thought about her and at the time I'd just lost my dad so I'd think about my dad, and it was a tough situation."
