Melissa Gorga Reveals What Happened When She Saw Joe Giudice in the Bahamas: "There's Always a Spin"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member opened up about a run in with her ex-brother-in-law last year.
Melissa Gorga and her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, have always had their differences on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Whether it be about their family, their husbands, or Teresa's relationship with her brother, Joe Gorga.
Although Teresa, Melissa, and Joe might not be in the best place right now, Melissa revealed during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, May 12, that she had a pleasant experience with Teresa's ex-husband, Joe Giudice when they saw each other last year. You might recall that Melissa and Joe Gorga ran into Joe Giudice while on vacation in the Bahamas in February 2023.

During her appearance on WWHL Sunday night, Melissa gave more details about their meet-up, where she revealed that it was purely coincidental. "We were really just on a vacation with our friends and I actually think he knew where we were," Melissa said. "We were in the same casino at the same time. We literally just ran into him."
"There's always a spin," she added about the controversy the moment created.
ICYMI: at the time of the hangout in 2023, Joe Gorga took to Instagram where he revealed this was a much-welcomed reunion with his former brother-in-law, who now permanently lives there. "Both walked into the same bar at the same time. A lot of history there," Joe Gorga wrote in the caption. "We have memories since we were kids. I'm happy he's doing well and looks good. We were both happy to see each other and catch up."
In the video, both Joes can be seen with huge smiles on their faces, hugging one another and sharing a laugh.

Melissa explained on WWHL this past Sunday that it was a super friendly encounter and nothing nefarious went on. "It was the most innocent thing there could be," she added.
Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice's Relationship Explained
Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice's relationship goes way back — far beyond when Teresa married Joe Giudice in 1999. During a December 2022 appearance on Teresa's podcast, Namaste B$tches, Joe Giudice revealed that his parents were close to Teresa's when he was growing up. Their families were always hanging out together, and so he developed a relationship with Teresa and a friendship with Joe Gorga.
"We always got along," Joe Guidice explained on the podcast. "I mean, it wasn't like we didn't get along. We would bust each other's chops."
Joe Gorga opened up about his relationship (and Bahamas reunion) with Joe Guidice during an appearance at BravoCon 2023 in November. "I'm gonna clarify something about this: I grew up with this man," Joe Gorga said. "Our parents were best friends growing up. We thought we were family, but we were paisans in the Italian world."
It had been years since both Joes had seen each other in person, thus leading to a happy reunion. "That moment...was so real," Joe Gorga added. "And it was amazing. It really was, and we saw each other. We hugged each other, and it was such a beautiful moment."
