Joe Gorga Posts a Touching Tribute to His Late Mother's Cooking
The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad was missing his late mother Antonia on her birthday.
In the Gorga family, Sunday pasta is a a sacred ritual. But this past Sunday, Joe Gorga was keenly aware of someone who's been missing from the family table: His beloved mother, Antonia Gorga.
The Gorga family matriarch passed away in 2017 at the age of 66, and her family misses her terribly. Remembering Antonia on her October 20 birthday, Joe shared a candid family photo from the archives. The picture showed him and sister Teresa Giudice beaming as they flanked their mom, who smiled sweetly over a cake that read: Happy Birthday Nonna.
In his caption, Joe paid tribute to the memory of his mother, and to her delicious home cooking: "Happy Birthday to an amazing person," the Jersey dad wrote. "I miss you so much everyday. God I wish I had your sauce today. I love you."
Even though he was in Los Angeles with his wife Melissa Gorga on his mother's birthday, Joe made sure to have a pasta dinner. In photos from the couple's evening at Craig's, Melissa showed a table loaded with Italian entrees.
