Bethenny Frankel is on the ground in Puerto Rico to help those first hand who have been affected by Hurricane Maria, which hit the island last month. The Real Housewives of New York City mogul has been actively helping victims of several natural disasters through her B Strong charity, and now she's landed in Puerto Rico to bring food and supplies to those who desperately need it.
Bethenny has been keeping fans up-to-date on what is happening on the ground in Puerto Rico on Twitter and Instagram. We now know that she is in San Juan — and that she chartered four planes and paid for them herself in order to get to the devastated island.
"We got a 4th plane headed to PR and working on a 5th! I'm bringing $25k in Costco gift cards, $25k in cash gift cards, and approximately 15k lbs of food, water and medical supplies. With the planes return we will be able to transport PR citizens stateside to get medical attention," she shared on Instagram. She is donating 100 percent of proceeds donated to those affected by the hurricane. She added, "Puerto Rican's saw our truck and are lining up in droves hoping to get basic essentials. We are the first relief efforts they have seen since #HurricaneMaria hit a week and a half ago! These people need your help."
The Big Apple mom shared photos from her trip and time in the island and noted that there is "complete devastation in Puerto Rico... People lost everything they have ever known, family members included. Yet positivity was vibrating around the island."
