Light and Fun
And so dinner! Ramona quickly aligns herself with her new BFF Heather and attempts to rearrange the tables into a more conducive to not-having-a-knockdown-dragout arrangement and toasts to fun! Fun, fun, fun! Aviva excuses herself for the restroom, giving Ramona and Sonja a chance to mention that Aviva’s venom is still in their system. We don't hear people say venom enough on this show. Lord knows it goes around enough that we should be constantly looking for antidotes. Anyway, it appears no amount of tequila or toast is going to bring a restorative calm to this group.

Add to that Aviva is feeling less than apologetic about her word choice, so we’re left to see next week if they can make it work or if Ramona and Sonja can properly Google white trash. What did you think of Aviva’s big entrance? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

Thank goodness we have Carole keeping us grounded while Aviva is many of our worst nightmares - (we all know someone like her) Ramona is never dull and Sonya is lost this year - but seeing her gain confidence as she navigates as a divorced woman - mirrors the struggles those like her face.    What a 'reality check' this season has been!

I have fears and some debilitate to a point that is simply embarassing leave me frozen. I am sure most can relate on some level with Aviva. She was growing by doing something in spite of her fears. But it was her choice to do so. What does she want a cookie? She already got good girl

Ramona is correct....Aviva is a buzz kill. I can hardly watch the show when she is on....her whining voice is like finger nails on a chalk board. She is way too uptight for this show....it is depressing to watch her. She should really lighten up for her own sanity.

I heard that you can take a 40min boat ride to the island instead of the small plane ???  If that is the case then Aviva is a trouble maker and wants to always be the center of attention.....

I liked Aviva, but she lost me this week. She's making Ramona look more sane, which is disturbing.

Seems like Luann is just trying to stir the drama, yet stay out of it. Not cool.

Hope Carole and Heather are able to enjoy themselves amongst the drama the others are creating.

Aviva's accident has informed her entire life.  She's accomplished a great deal, but everything always seems to go back to that six year old child.  It seemed like she didn't need Reid on the plane, as she soothed herself with her tapes rather than turning to him for comfort.  Is she so used to being the focus of her family's dynamic, both as a child, and now as an adult,  that she is unable to understand she doesn't hold that same position with this group of women?   Her expectation of a bells and whistles welcome was very odd, and she was actually angry that Ramona and Sonja didn't get out of the pool immediately.   After the the tension of the flight, she didn't take a breath or relax, but became more and more incensed.  Finally, we saw what made her become an attorney; her facility with the cutting remark.  Gone was fragile Aviva.  She was cruel, relentless, and released a torrent of hateful words, stunning the other women.  She was disheveled, and appeared to be a different person as she cross-examined them, one after the other, to see said what about Reid.   His presence would change the dynamic, but that was the deal.  He seemed very proper, and wasn't comfortable with the skinny dipping. The whole furor about it being a girl's vacation?  Really, who cares.  They were there to have fun.  He was there to work.  He's a really lovely person, and it appears, the kinder and gentler  half of the equation.  He might have helped rein in Aviva's attacks.  I guess we'll never know.

OK, we get it. LuAnn was a bad, bad girl. Big deal. "Frankly," Aviva's temper tantrum is 100 times more shameful than anything we have see from LuAnn or Ramonja on this trip. Please. This is what a woman looks and acts like when she is born and raised in Manhattan? NO THANK YOU.

This episode is a realitytv combo,The Real World meets Intervention, and collide with Here comes Honey BooBoo!

LuAnn had a fling with Tomas.

LuAnn, Sonja & Ramona agreed that having a man on a girls weekend would not be good.

Avia should have stayed home, she doesn't do travel without Reid.  Her mistake to go.  Avia brought Reid anyways.  She was disappointed the girls didn't make a huge celebration party.  Oops!

Avia is angling for a fight with Ramona and Sonja.

Heather is lying low.  She has learned it's tough press being the mean girl.  Her new role is exposing others behavior.

Stay tuned.......

 PepperCo Great recap!!!

Just need to add one thing.

Luann incited Aviva.  Threw Ramona under the bus.

Deflected any responsibility then wormed around Aviva like she was not guilty.

PepperCo One more....Heather may be lying low but she sure is going behind backs and spreading sleazy gossip!

 lynnwhitlock I can only agree.

LuAnn is very competitive, undermining, and selfish but not responsible for Avia's behavior.  Avia played politics getting each gal to "commit" to Reid being there.  It blew up in her face.

I liked this blog - because the the spin was turned off.  All of the ladies have some fault in the bad behavior - even Carol, who tries to play cool, but is still "reporting" on the gals.

Depressing! Last week was so much fun!

I used to love Aviva, but I have to bow out. Why?

Constant anxiety talk, but getting zero professional help. Using anxiety disorder to behave poorly. Expecting a party upon arrival. Demanding ladies apologize to her husband. Insinuating Sonja is a manwhore. Calling Sonja and Ramona white trash. Refusing Carole's request to apologize. Angrily mocking Ramona for the "fun" toast. Inability to comprehend (regardless of pedigree-that was gross, too) that LuAnn is more interested in throwing Ramona under the bus than truly giving two cents about Aviva.

Ramona wasn't topless when Reid and Aviva showed up. Only Sonja was. I doublechecked. Ramona had an orangish bikini or monokini on. But she definitely had a top.

Aviva and LuAnn were both obnoxious. Get off your high horses ladies. You both acted like the slur Aviva used. Ramona , Sonja and Carole are fun to watch. Heather is growing on me.
