It may not surprise you to learn that Anthony Bourdain has a lot of opinions on people, both good and bad and somewhere in between. He has rather strong opinions, for instance, on Harvey Weinstein (VERY BAD), Jose Andres (VERY GOOD), and Hillary Clinton (actually something of a mixed bag).
And now it turns out that his opinion of another star chef — one you might have thought he didn't care for — is actually somewhat favorable. That person is Ina Garten.
“I’ll make a little fun of her now and then," he told Refinery 29.
Of her effusive and pat on-screen cooking approach, "it’s very perfect in Ina World," he said, "scarily so." But that doesn't invalidate her final products.
"What she cooks on TV is legit and instructive," he said. "If you do as Ina does, chances are you are going to get a good product… I got real respect for her.”
