But working in Martha Lou’s Kitchen, making and serving her famous fried chicken, gave me a fast and furious education in Southern hospitality that I'll never forget. Run by four generations (!!) of women, this Charleston institution has been making some of the tastiest soul food in the country for over 30 years—and let me assure you, Martha Lou herself is not slowing down anytime soon!
