PLEASE stop with jerky camera moving and in & out focusing.  I HATE it.  Am I the only one?  It is not hip nor cool.

What a great idea! Spoon licker aside, I loved this. It's a great way to get to know the chefs first, taste their best cooking, and top of all of that make them win twice to prove themselves. Gives them a quick taste of what it will be like, so they're not so nervous, and it really weeds out the best of the best. Every season it seems there's about 5 really lame chefs who don't know what their doing, and you just know they're going home first. Doing it this way you make sure there are no "slider-bys". Wish they would do this for all of them in every city they look for "cheftestants".

Didn't you ever watch fat ass Paula Dean and her wonderful sanitary habits in the kitchen or Martha Stewart?

Did anyone else notice that Michael on Picks 101 at the 6 minute mark tasted his sauce then put the spoon back in the pot!! Not visiting his restaurant

I love this show. But why is Padma chewing and talking at the same time. Not very lady like Padma,

I only heard about Padma's picks now  - watching Andy's show from last night.  I hope to watch episodes IN ORDER - starting with #1 thru 5.

@ldoll2 on her figure- oh because you're a hot model, right? She's not exactly fat either.

@LindaSO I saw it too.  I am going to NOLA this weekend and am choosing which restaurants to try.  I crossed Gallatoire's off my list because of the spoon incident.

@LindaSO I was just about to post that.  I thought they would not take him just based on that.  Then they show the other chef taste his food and toss the spoon in the sink.  I thought they were trying to prove something but I guess not since they picked Michael.
