Vanderpump Rules Cast Gets a Taste of Ariana and Katie's New Sandwich Shop
A number of castmates stopped by the new eatery to try out its mouth-watering menu items.

The cast of Vanderpump Rules came together over the weekend to show their support for Something About Her — the long-awaited sandwich shop owned by Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney. The business partners hosted a private event Saturday (Aug. 6) at the restaurant’s West Hollywood location, where they treated their castmates to an elaborate spread of mouth-watering food.

A photo posted on the Something About Her Instagram page confirmed the get-together was a sandwich tasting led by Penny Davidi, a celebrity chef who has been working on the restaurant's menu. Snaps shared on social media showed Ariana and Katie sitting in the dining area alongside castmates Lala Kent, James Kennedy, Ally Lewber, Tom Schwartz, Scheana Shay, and her husband, Brock Davies.
“Cuties and sandwiches,” Katie captioned an Instagram Story of a smiling Ariana and Lala.
Other photos captured the cast members gathered around the dining tables, which were adorned with flower centerpieces and tiered serving trays that displayed a wide variety sandwiches.

When will Ariana and Katie's sandwich shop launch?
It’s still unclear when the sandwich shop will open its doors, but the tasting event suggests it may happen soon. Katie and Ariana publicly announced the venture in Vanderpump Rules Season 9, and quickly began searching for investors and a location. The castmates initially planned for a May grand opening but scrapped those plans to ensure their vision was properly executed. Katie and Ariana have since been hard at work finalizing the menu, securing the necessary permits, and completing the shop’s Nancy Meyers-inspired interior.
Although the eatery will open later than expected, Katie has reassured fans it’ll be well worth the wait. The former SURver spoke about the business during an appearance on Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino, where she explained the overall vision for shop.

“This whole Something About Her [concept], and the vision behind that, was wanting it to be romanticized lunch, à la rom-coms,” she said. “I want to live in a Nancy Meyers movie. So when we were talking about what this place looks like and feels like, I’m like, ‘Well, who does Nancy Meyers’ movies?’”
She also teased some possible menu items, which she described as elevated classics.
“You’re gonna have a traditional turkey, but maybe with a little bit of spice or kick to it; a spicy Italian; I love a good egg-salad sandwich,” she continued. “We gotta have some seasonal salads we can rotate, depending on the time of year… We wanna do beer and wine. Ariana, she can make a lot of wine-based cocktails. She has the skills for that.”
